Gratitude [grat⋅i⋅tude] pronounced: grat-i-tood, -tyood.
-noun
:the quality or feeling of being grateful or thankful
Grateful: the quality or feeling of being grateful or thankful.
Gratitude. What a great word. Cicero once said "Gratitude is not only the greatest of virtues, but the parent of all the others". That's AMAZING!
You know sometimes in life we tend to take things for granted. Like typing, how many of us pray at night and say " God thank you for the ability to type." One of my teacher's mother had a stroke. She fell off a bike when she wasn't wearing a helmet. Now she has to re-learn almost everything. It's not as bad as not being able to swallow but she has to learn how to move her arms and say her daughter's name, it's depressing. So this thanksgiving I want to thank God for the little things (and also the big things).
Dear God, thanks for......
1. A health body
2. all the talents you have given me
3. Parents
4. A roof to live under
5. food
6. Friends
7. life
8. You
9. The bible
10. typing (lol)
11. an education (no matter how much I dislike the work load)
12. Maple
13. Music
14. Gabriel
15. electronics
This list will never end. Anyways, H.U. Westermayer said " The Pilgrims made seven times more graves than huts. No Americans have been more impoverished than these who, nevertheless, set aside a day of thanksgiving". Denis Waitly said "Happiness cannot be traveled to, owned, earned, worn or consumed. Happiness is the spiritual experience of living every minute with love, grace and gratitude." This thanksgiving be sure to be thankful for the little things in life. It's worth it. =]

Interesting Quotes...
Ok, so last night I was almost killed by my brother because he was driving.... Well after we got out of the car I asked my mom
Joycelyn: Mom, how old do I act?
Mom: 8 years old
Joycelyn: -_-........ How old does Gabriel act?
Mom: 25 and he can't drive. ( it rhythms)
Gabriel: Mommy, Mommy look at that purdy( pretty) picture!!!!!( Jumps up and down like a kid)
Joycelyn: Are you sure he acts 25?
Ha ha ha So I was sitting in study hall with Ian right? I was wearing my "Live, Laugh, Love" T-shirt.
Ian: You're actually trying to study in study hall!
Joycelyn: Yes, and it's not WORKING!
Ian: Joycelyn, you need to live more.. I mean you practice so much violin and your constantly doing homework. You don't live AT ALL!!!
Joycelyn: Well how late do you stay up trying to procastiate?
Ian: not.....to....late.
Joycelyn: exactly my point.
Ian: Well at least I have a life. hmmmmm " Live, Laugh, Love" how much of that do you actually do? I mean you don't have a life and you don't really laugh, and you can't love if you haven't lived. Seriously!
Ian your a very indescribable person.

Fourteen
Tommorow's my Birthday!
Fourteen, that's a funny number..... it's not 13 or 15 it's 14.....
You know wikipedia editors think of things that no one else thinks of.
"Number 14 is considered to be one of the unluckiest numbers in Chinese culture. Although 14 is usually said as "shi si," which sounds like "ten die", it can also be said as "yi si" or "yao si", literally "one four". Thus, 14 can also be said as "yao si," literally "one four," but it also means "want to die" (要死 pinyin yào sǐ). In Cantonese, 14 sounds like "sap sei", which sounds like "sat6 sei2" meaning "certainly die" (實死)."
Really, it's like making me want to hold on to my last hour/minute of being 13. The really funny thing is that 13 is unlucky in united states. I didn't hear of this whole "unlucky 14 thing and didn't really think about it until I came across this. On the other hand I did find this...
Fourteen
being a multiple of seven, partakes of its significance; and, being double that number, implies a double measure of spiritual perfection.
Wow.... year 14 of my life... I remember last year I was like " OH NO MY LAST DAY OF CHILDHOOD!" this year it's not so bad. We all have to grow up sometime. =] It seems that when your a kid, you want to grow up so fast that you start counting your age in fractions. Haven't you heard a kid go " I'm 4 1/2" or " I'm 5 1/2". I bet you've never heard someone say " I'm 25 1/2" =]
sigh. 14 ready or not here I come!
