So as many of you know, when you text me, chat me, or talk to me....and the conversation just gets dry, i'll ask my famous question....sooooo...."How's life?" haha sorry I haven't been blogging lately, I've been kinda lazy..so =/ anyway. =] so where was I ok so lets start from like.....hmmm...OH!! OH!! [sorry if your offended Emily =P I mean no harm ;)] I know! so I went to Russia...finland...and sweden...for orchastra tour! I'll tell you about that! ok um lets see so the flight was about idk 14...maybe 15 hours? to Frankfurt, Germany...then another flight for like 2 hours...to Russia....incrediblely long...it was funny I was looking at the itinary before we went and on it, it said were stoping in frankfurt...so the whole time I kept telling everyone were stopping in Kentucky...-_- then I got to the airport and finally looked at the board..and saw that were going to Germany...haha anyway I got on the plane and see I was going to swich seats w/ the guy who was next to me after take off[ he was a cellist...i don't really know him though =/] but then he fell asleep...and I didn't want to wake him up..=[ so I was suck akwardly sitting next to him for like 15 hours... OH! another thing! it was wweeeerrriidd....there was a high school orchastra...a high school choir AND a rock band on board the plane..we didn't plan it! So wreid....So we also had like 10 DS spread out though our group so the whole time we were playing Mario Cart...had Wi-fi too =] I mean to other DS's not for comps though....=[...so after we got to Germany...we had like 1to 2 hours transit time....haha we played set....the suuperrr annoying card iq game and I attempted to learn how to play rook =] the other reallly fun card game it's avalible at like walmart...=] so we headed on the plane again...XD then we finally got to Russia...ok customs...and orchastra in Russia don't really work well.....We were there for 2 hours cause they had to go through EVERY SINGLE violin/viola/cello....the maker..the label...sigh..annoying...and the cellos were in blue whales too...like gigatic cases that go over the regualar hard case to ensure safety on a plane... Then we went outside...so the moment we got outside...we realized how hot russia got in the summer...nooo joke EVERYONE thought it was going to be SUPER cold...I was like 95 degrees -______- yeah...not fun cause I didn't have shorts...actually Ihad like one pair but that was it... the bus ride was interesting...I finally found a place in the world that has worse traffic then LA...ok There's still traffic at 1 am in the morning!! It took us like 4 hours to get to the place we were staying...it should have taken us like 30 min or something...we skiped dinner that night...i didn't really care though...we were all jetlagged anyway... =/ so the rooms...now this is interesting..so we had like a room the size of a cell...4 like orphan/cell beds to a room one Large window...that looked like bars...and the outside of the building looked like a prison too....barbed wire...spotlights...spiked fences...and cameras...it was iinnntteressing....the adults even refered to it as "the compound"....nooo joke...=P the showers were pretty interesting too..cause the shower curtian was like super flimsy and you couldn't take a shower without it like sticking to you the entire time O_O....yeah anyway that was Moscow...It was cool though we went the the orphanage the next day passed out toys to kids....ok What I learned about Russia..is that no one follows the laws on drinking age and smoking age...The kids at the orphanage were smoking and they were like younger than us....O_O No one stops them either...its soo werid....we after that we played at this university...The audience had this really cool like communism clap or something..when they get excited they start clapping in sync. IT WAS AWESOME!!!! We played like 4 encores...then we ran out of songs...-_- haha Best consert the entire tour in my opinon cept the last one cant decided between the two. So the next day we played for church in the morning....so we were heading on stage and i don't know how but i put pressure on my E string and then it just popped...luckily I had a spare so =]....After that we played for vespers at a different church..which was another 4-6 hours away...both churches were in Moscow O_O....ok interesting thing about this consert...first of all it has a pretty small stage...and when you cram about 30 people on a small stage in about 100 degree weather...it becomes at least 110 degrees on stage...it was BURNING up there! Some people had sweat puddles on their chin rest! NO JOKE!!! It was wet! >_< we went to pizza Hut after haha russian pizza hut =]...then we headed to Red Square to go see saint Basils Catherdral at night....on the way there we saw a bunch of drunk people danceing on the streets randomly...O_O it was pretty scary...but Saint Basils was really pretty and so was red Square! at night =] only down side was that it was 1 am when we visited...yeah well anyway here's a pic..my friend took this.....
